So this week Ben finished mudding and sanding the walls. Saturday morning we primed the ceiling and the walls and took up the carpet. We found that we do indeed have beautiful hardwood flooring. Next step sanding the floor.

Drywall and Mud
Well Ben and I got all of the drywall hung. I did some mudding (took me 2 days to do the closet for about 2 hours at a time) Ben was able to do the rest of it in one evening. We only got one layer on and we haven't completed the ceiling or the corners yet. ahhh it's going to be forever until our house is back to normal. If I could only take a picture of the rest of the house and not be ashamed I would. Anyways... This is our progress over the last two weeks.
This is what you would see walking into the room and then the rest are if you would turn to the right after going in.

Day Three/Four
This Friday and Saturday we were able to get the electrical done (with help from Alex) and while Ben finished that up on Saturday Kara put up the insulation. (Finally a room that'll hopefully stay warm) We also moved around the electrical stuff in the bathroom and put in a can light over the bathtub which turned out pretty good. Haven't really taken pictures of the bathroom at all unfortunately. Here is an updated photo of the room as of today.

Day Two: Framing
Here's a sneak peak at the hardwood floors in the room. We have it throughout the dinning and living rooms too but we haven't yet dared to pull up the carpets. We do plan on taking the Carpet out of this room before we finish.

Here we framed in the door to the bathroom. Unfortunately when the previous owner framed in the drywall for the bathroom he used particle board so we had to use it also to get the amount of space we needed before drywalling. We're also planning on re-doing the electrical for the bathroom when we do it for this bedroom.

My Favorite part of the whole room. The Closet! We've decided to use the door from bathroom that we took out for the closet door. It's a small closet but IT'S A CLOSET the whole house has 2 closets. One by our bedroom that is smaller than the one we're building and one where we store our games (teeny tiny). So I'm very excited about this one!
